The Rocena Kidney Foundation invites you to a night of Old Hollywood Glamour at our 3rd Annual Gala on Saturday, September 27, 2025. This event will bring together leaders and trailblazers from the Ottawa community in support of kidney health within the African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) community. The purpose of the gala is to raise funds for scholarly research, outreach, and educational programs to address the growing pandemic of kidney health issues in the ACB communities.

The Foundation recognizes that there are multiple barriers to accessing accessible and inclusive health services. Our mandate is to create culturally competent spaces, and we are dedicated to supporting kidney health in an inclusive and equitable manner.

Our goal is to collectively walk the distance from Caribbean (Jamaica) to our Mother Land (Ghana) approx. 8,285 kms Virtual measurable physical activity (walk, run, bike).
Four (4) weeks duration (April 1st to April 27th, 2024).

Join the Rocena Kidney Foundation’s first support group on March 20th, 2024, and discover a new chapter in your kidney journey.

This virtual event is tailored for African-Caribbean-Black patients who are experiencing reduced kidney function. The session will take place from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.

Daniel Afram, a specialist in mental health, will provide valuable insights to help you manage your mental health while dealing with chronic kidney disease. This is a unique opportunity that you do not want to miss. Please note that seats are limited.
